Good editors usually come in one of three varieties: the technical whizz who's especially good at music sequences; the speed merchant who can make a cut magically appear before your eyes; and the thoughtful psychologist who divines a film's true meaning and draws it out for all to see. It's exceedingly rare to find an editor who can be all three. But Rama Bowley can. I've worked with Rama on a huge range of projects... different subjects, different genres, different schedules (!) and he's gone above and beyond on each and every one.

Graham Booth, Executive Producer/Director, multiple projects

Rama is both wholly professional and a delight to work with. He is quick to understand the needs of the production (genre, tone etc) and works exceptionally fast. His choice of music is broad and yet unstintingly appropriate to the show he is cutting. He contributes confidently in discussion and is willing to try anything, pushing creative boundaries with his own and others' ideas. He is collaborative if/when the steer changes. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Rama.

Martha Holmes, Executive Producer, Plimsoll Productions

Rama is a pleasure to work with, his calm and collected nature makes him able to easily whether all kinds of editorial storms. He is fast but creative. With input on everything from script to music style and programme structure, it’s about a lot more than just the cuts.

Joe Loncraine, Series Producer/Director, multiple projects

I've worked with Rama many times, for many years, across many different genres. He is fast, hard working, creative and meticulous at his craft. He is great to work with, and equally good to leave to work on his own. He's a top picture editor, who loves experimenting with images, playing with sounds and music. He is calm, imaginative and enjoys coming up with narrative suggestions. Always a pleasure.
